I finished the garment that I was working on during my last post. I made the tunic and pants. I made this to wear to my son’s graduation knowing that it was going to be around 90 degrees and humid. Even though the ceremony was indoors, I wasn’t cold at all. This was very comfortable and really easy to wear. I especially like the material used. It’s some sort of linen-like material which breathes well and washes great! I bought it at Jo-Ann Fabrics. This was also the first time that I have ever done covered buttons. After doing it this time, I wondered why I have never done them before?! It was so easy and of course, you get a perfect match with the fabric. I am in the process of making the dress in view A (the short dress). That should be something to wear on hot (humid) summer days.

So much fabric, so little time…
Although I told myself that I wasn’t going to buy any fabric this year, that hasn’t worked out (not even a little bit). Anywhoo, I did buy some spring floral fabrics from Joann Fabrics and G Street Fabrics this past week. I also bought about 5 patterns recently for tops and dresses. But on the good side (or better side), I did start and finish a light-weight robe for myself this past Saturday. This should be great for spring and summer. Otherwise, I have plenty to keep me busy!
