2018 Wrap-Up And What’s Next

As 2018 comes to a close, it’s a good time to look back on what I accomplished and what I want to do more of in the coming year.

One of the biggest things for me was the addition of video. Really getting some things onto my YouTube channel has been a goal of mine for about a year, so I’m glad I finally started. Now the goal is to continue to improve the video quality and content while maintaining my sense of self in each video. I really want to add some tutorials or instructional videos as well (simple projects at first).

As far as some of my favorite completed projects this year, I have to say that this is one of them:

Angela Wolf Ruched T

It just has some of my favorite colors and is really comfortable to wear. I wrote about this here.

The item that gets the most wear is this robe.

But there were many favorites and completed projects this year. As a member of the Ready-To-Wear Fast sponsored by Sarah of Goodbye Valentino, I bought no clothing in 2018. Sewing that many projects gives me more of a perspective on what I’ll make in the future versus what I would rather buy. But, I also like to keep my options open, so I’m glad the year is coming to an end on the RTW fast! I’m a person who rarely shops anyway, so I don’t need to be part of a group to keep sewing (although seeing the projects of others in the group is always inspiring).

As for 2019, my goal is, as always, to keep improving my sewing skills while I learn new skills.

I wish you all a happy and healthy new year. I thank you for being on this journey with me and I hope that we can continue to encourage each other in the coming year!

New YouTube Video

I have published another YouTube video with another tip to help with staying organized. The video’s pretty short (under 2 minutes) so it really is a quick tip!

I recently finished making a pair of pants using Simplicity 8056. The plan is to get those pictures taken so I can share that next and tell you my thoughts on that pattern.

That’s all for now.

Until next time…
