My 2025 Projects

I want to share with you my 2025 projects. Although I’m no longer sewing to complete a particular number of projects, I’m still getting a lot of things done.

So, let’s dive into some of the projects I’ve completed this past year.

First Group Of Projects

Group of several outfits made by me

To start off the year, I started off with some collaborations. Most of these outfits/garments have been featured in videos on my YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@Sewlimitless). With making these different clothing items, I realize that there are some things I do very well most of the time (like matching fabric to patterns) and some things I really would like to work on (like improving fit for pants).

One of my favorites from this group is the floral shirtdress. If you’ve never made something like this, I highly recommend it and this pattern – Simplicity 8014. It’s easy and versatile.

Next Group Of Projects

This group features mostly summer sewing. One of my favorite patterns of this group is the ivory vest and shorts. I used Simplicity 3108 for the vest. This one is much easier to make than I thought it would be and looks very stylish when completed.

Third Group Of Projects

A goal for my 2025 projects was to make a chair slipcover. While it wasn’t perfectly done, it was completed and definitely serves it’s purpose. If you want a very good book that will take you though the process of making a slipcover of your own, this book (Custom Slipcovers Made Easy)is what I used and I find it to be extremely helpful.

Final Project Group

Sofa slipcover and clothing made by me

Most of this grouping is all about comfort and completing some projects I’ve wanted to do for some time. I did make a sofa slipcover. But my last two projects for the year, the sweatsuit and the cargo sweatpants, are definitely comfortable. The cheetah print dress (Vogue 8379) and the floral blouse (Vogue 8772) were made from two patterns I’ve wanted to use for years!

All in all, I had a productive year and I hope you did as well. Like I said in the beginning, I’m less interested in how many things I complete but more interested in the quality of those things. As always, I will continue to focus on improving my fitting process (our bodies change all the time) and slowing myself down when needed to improve the quality.
