I saw this tutorial a while back, but didn’t get around to sewing it until the other day (snow day sewing). Anyway, there is this great tutorial for making these little pencil pouches. They could also be used for makeup brushes or whatever you like. You could also make different sizes depending on what you want. And they could be great gifts. I like this! It's a little different than a couple other pencil pouches I have made (the placement of the zipper where it is), so I'd like to give this a try. The fabric you chose is good-looking too. As you say, they'd make a good gift….maybe to give a student before school begins, and filled with pencils/crayons, other small tools like a pencil sharpener, small protractor, etc. The one I made my for daughter, way back in middle school, is still seeing regular use, & she's a college senior now! :o)
